Homework week 4 & 5
Students & Parents,
Weeks 4 & 5 homework can now be downloaded and completed. It is due on Friday 6th March. I understand that some families have had some issues with printing homework. I am more than happy for students to complete the activities in their books.
Ruling up & Neatness: This week when marking your homework I noticed that many of you were forgetting to rule up each new page. Please make sure to rule up and write neatly. You should be writing in pencil - not pen.
Spelling: The spelling lists for the remainder of the term will be found when you click on your spelling group. Please only complete activities for the spelling list you have this week. There is no need to print out the spelling list, you can copy it into your spelling book. Make sure to complete your spelling tasks in your homework book.
Home Reading: Please remember that you need to be reading for at least 10 - 15 minutes a night. Many students had not recorded their reading into their reading log.
Sheets Glued in: I please ask that you glue all your homework into your homework book or put it into a plastic sleeve. It becomes very difficult when marking to find your homework when there are many loose sheets of paper in your folder.
Science Diorama: For the next few weeks of homework you will be making a diorama on a habitat. This week in Science we are learning about ecosystems and habitats. To complete this project you will need a cardboard box, coloured paper and any other materials to help make your diorama be as creative as possible. Read the project sheet attached in the homework folder and if you have any questions please see me. This is a link that you may find useful when making a diorama: How to make a diorama. In this example they have used paint - you do not have to do this, you can use coloured paper. So don't feel you have to paint it - there are many other ways you can create a diorama.
If you have any questions about homework, parents please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Thank you :)

Homework week 2 & 3
Students and Parents,
Homework has now been uploaded onto the homework tab.
Spelling: Students please make sure to print out a copy of the Spelling Contract and to glue it in the front of your homework book. Your spelling lists are uploaded, so you need to choose two activities from your spelling contract to complete a night.
Reading: For this week you need to select a book to read from home. Please make sure you record books you are reading into your home reading log.
Basic Facts: You can copy out the basic fact questions or print them out and glue them into your book. See how quick you can answer these questions.
Place Value: You need to roll a dice, if you don't have a dice at home you can make one or find one online. You need to roll it 5 times and make a number of your choice and then add 10. The sheet to fill in for this is on the homework tab.
History: You need to look for examples of Aboriginal tools that traditional Noongar people once used and draw a picture.
Health: Record what you eat for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Snacks.
